All classroom and teacher tools posted on this site are available in at least two formats. This makes it easier for you to modify the files to suit both your needs and those of your students.

Basic instructions for download can be found on the pages in the Tools and Ideas section:

Instructions: Scroll down and find a file that interests you.

If you have ClarisWorks or Appleworks in your school or home, click on the ClarisWorks icon to begin the download. If you have Microsoft Word, click on the Word icon.

  • If all goes well, once you have clicked on the file of your choice, the download will begin. Downloading is the term used for transfering files from a website onto your computer.
  • When downloading, you should see a progress box that shows you how much of the file is being downloaded.
  • On some computers you will be asked where you would like to save the file you are downloading. If this happens, you should chose a place that you will be able to find again easily. Your own folder is a good place for this. You can also choose to make a new folder and call it something like "portfolio downloads".
  • Other computers will save the file automatically. Macintosh computers usually save to the Desktop. To access a file on your desktop, you will need to close all windows so that you can see the file.
  • PC computers running Windows sometimes save automatically to a folder on the C: drive called Downloads or Downloaded Files. You can find this folder through the search feature located under the Start menu at the lower left-hand corner of your screen.

If you are having problems downloading a file - cheer up, it may be our fault! Let us know by sending an e-mail to portfolio@qesnrecit.qc.ca and mentioning the file that you need. We will do our best to make sure you get it.
