Robotics Robotics in the K class

NEW!   Do We Need Robots or Do Robots Need Us? A Learning and evaluation situation for Preschool Education

RobThumbFirstExperience

Can anyone implement a Robotics project in a K class?

Is this type of project for you? Are you unsure about using technology with kindergarten children?  When she took on this project, Jane Gravel was in the last year of a long career as a  kindergarten teacher. In this video, she shares her experience and tells us about the ultimate learning journey she undertook before retiring.

The story of a first implementation

If you are wondering what could be involved in implementing a Robotics project in your class, view the story of one, initially inexperienced, teacher who took the plunge one year, and has caught the bug since.  She tested the waters by applying what she learned at a Robotics workshop and adapting it to her practice and comfort level of the time. Her message: just do what comes naturally, and then reflect to adapt your practice the next time around. There is so much you can do with such a proejct, but you don't have to do it all the first time.
