Spotlight on the Arts at QPAT 2011
The second annual Spotlight on the Arts is a day-long professional development initiative specifically for teachers of the Arts in the anglophone sector of Quebec. Come join fellow artists and art educators in a day of sharing, exploring and making art! Live mural painting for 10 lucky students and the Artists' collective En Masse. The Spotlight is free, of course!

November - December

Painting a New World - The Gift of Art
he Gift of Art is an art and collaboration project for youth, educators and community. It is a project designed to inspire groups of students interested in art to design and paint a 54 x 64 in. mural with the guidance of an educator on a theme proposed by Painting a New World (PNMW).
Secondary & primary schools, colleges, community learning centers and all organizations related to education or art are welcome to participate.

2011 - 2012 School year

Culture à l'écoute

In this project, students are invited to create podcasts that function as audioguides for a specific cultural element in their immediate community. This could be a piece of art, a playhouse or theatre in their city, a street with an art-related name, an architecturally significant building, a native son or daughter who is an artist, the local or school choir – everything can be interesting and culturally significant! A turnkey project to address the APPRECIATES competency.
